As we roll into 2025 šš«¶š¼ VQRC is so excited to find even more ways to come into connection with community, while facilitating a space to move your body in nature š³šš²
We have grown so much in a short 5 months, and so excited to offer pace groups, starting January 6th, 2025šš„šš„³! In an effort to emphasize the inclusive nature of VQRC, move away from competitive language, while welcoming different abilities:
ā”ļøZoominā - someone who is looking for a swift pace, anywhere between ~5:30-6:00, with no stops, and offers opportunities for a second lap. Chatting optional!
ā”ļøGroovinā - someone who is looking for a social/casual pace, anywhere between ~6:30-7:00min/km, and opportunities for stops as the group decides.
*we have currently been running at a Groovinā pace.*
ā”ļøMovinā - someone who wants to move their body and is looking to take their time, perhaps a newer runner, or coming back from injury. This could be anywhere between ~7:30-9min/km.
Even though we are establishing pace groups, VQRC is still a āno-dropā club š. As an example, maybe youāre a zoomer, but Groovinā feels more comfortable - then you can drop back with a crowd to catch ya. š«¶š¼ as always, no questions asked.
The pace groups will be announced on the monthly calendar, along with the weekly run routes.
